Different Shifting Methods and how to use Them

A shifting method is basically that stepping stone that is there to help you get to your desired reality. Disclaimer, you DO NOT need a shifting method to shift. Shifting methods are just one way that shifters use to shift, shifting methods work to raise your vibrations and help turn off the left side of your brain (there is another page all about how to turn off the left side of your brain and how it works to get you to your dr).

 

My Method: Transparent Method 

THIS IS A GREAT METHOD IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH VISUALIZING

1. Find a room or place in your CR that you are not familiar with.

2. Go sit somewhere in this room. 

3. Now one by one, I want you to start using your 5 senses. (You can put on a subluminal while doing this, but it is optional). Feel around in this particular spot, take note of very small observations. After you have gotten familiar with that spot move to another spot in this room and continue to use your five senses again in this spot. Continue with this step until you are familiar with this room. 

*You can adjust this method and use a room you are familiar with as well*

4. Now, find somewhere that is free of distractions and where you are most comfortable. Find a comfortable position. If you want, you can play white noises or subluminal, but again this is optional. 

5. I want you to now visualize the room you were just in. Insert yourself in your mind back in the spots you chose and go over the details you noticed. What different textures are their? What does it smell like? What does it taste like? What is the temperature? What are you wearing? Do you have socks on? 

I want it to feel as if you are actually in this room again by reimaging those sensations within your senses.

6. I want you now to imagine the room changing into the room you are going to shift in. What do you feel like when the room is changing?

7. Now go through that same process you did in the room in your CR. Use your five senses to identify sensations, smells, tastes, textures, etc. 

8. Now that you have deeply familiarized yourself with this room, imagine yourself doing regular everyday things you would do in your DR while in this room. You can do things like make your bed, watch out the window, etc. You can even imagine getting a phone call from someone in your DR.

9. Now I want you to get in the same comfortable position (for example if you are laying down on your bed, go lay down on your bed in this DR room). 

I want you to feel as if the position you are in within your CR and DR are identical and therefore your senses in that position are transparent.  

11.  Affirm as you fall asleep in that room in your DR and your CR. 

You can also add characteristics for any of the steps, but for the last step you can have someone in your DR with you (your comfort character for example). 

 

The Lucid Dream Method

What is a lucid dream? 

Lucid dreaming is  similar to the void state (void state is in-depth explained further down on this page). It is essentially when your mind is awake and aware while your body is asleep. 

How do you induce a lucid dream?

To shift with the lucid dream method, there are many effective ways to induce a lucid dream.  This method is ideally for first time lucid dreamers, but can be used by anyone, no matter experience level. You do not have to use this specific method to lucid dream. You don't have to use a method at all. 

Step 1. Visualize

Actively visualize until you start to have a tingly feeling or not be able to feel your body. 

Step 2. Affirmations

Overall, affirmations are good to use if you get distracted easily. They help prevent your mind from wandering and hyper-focusing on your body. (You want to try to avoid thinking about your body). Actively affirm things like "my mind remains aware as my body drifts asleep", "my conscious is awake as my body drifts to sleep", "I am in full control of my mind and body", etc. Avoid using affirmations like "I will lucid dream", use future tense. For example, "I have lucid dreamed", "lucid dreaming comes easily to me". You can affirm in your head or out loud. 

Step 3. Kinetic Sensations

When the body is about to fall asleep, the body usually feels as if it is falling (a falling sensation). During this sensation is when you need to continue to stay aware. You can also try to induce this sensation by visualizing scenarios where you are falling.  

How to shift when you are in a lucid dream:

I recommend making a portal or a door in your lucid dream. It can look like whatever you want, it doesn't matter. As you are forming this door, affirm that when you walk through it, it will take you to your DR. VERY IMPORTANT: be sure to affirm positive affirmations as you are walking through the door. For example, "This door (or portal) is taking me to my Harry Potter desired reality". (This method is not limited to only Harry Potter DR's I just used that as an example). 

Things you can do to better your chances at lucid dreaming:

- write down your dreams

- be well rested, (take breaks)

1. Get into your preferred, comfortable position and play 8d music with headphones.

2. Begin to breathe deeply to the tempo of the 8d music. Make sure that you focus on your music to avoid letting your mind stray. 

3. Every time you breathe, count up a number. when you reach intervals like 10, 20, 30 repeat affirmations, "I have shifted to my DR", "I am in full control of my mind and body", I feel symptoms and I am not afraid", "The closer I get to shifting, the calmer my body becomes."

4. After you reach 100, you will say the affirmations one last time. 

5. Ask yourself for permission to shift (this eliminates those blocks in your subconscious mind).

1. Read over your script

2. Leave a little note for your DR self at the bottom of your script 

3. YOUR MINDSET IS VERY IMPORTANT, go into this with the positive mindset that you are a master shifter and you have shifted to this DR before many times.

4. Think about where you are going to wakeup and USE YOUR FIVE SENSES one at a time and walk around your surroundings that you are going to shift to. What do you see? What do you hear? What do you smell? What do you feel? What do you taste? If you start to feel symptoms that are distracting you, continue to use your five senses and try to stay focused.

*You can use a subluminal if you want to, not required.*

5. Do this until you fall asleep

If you do not feel tired enough to do this, you can use a 5 - 10 minute mediation before.

The Julia Method

This is a no sleep method, this means that you do not need to be asleep for it to work. But you can use it as a sleep method. 

First, put on theta waves, 6Hz is the most recommended for relaxation. This is used to make your positive vibrations higher. You can find this by simply searching it up on YouTube. During this you'll want to meditate for 5-10 minutes.  (You don't have to). The goal during this is for you to become relaxed and comfortable, so make sure you are meditating in a position that is comfortable to you.

Next, once you are done meditating, you'll want to repeat "I am" affirmations in your head or out loud, that is your choice.

There is nothing that comes after that. You will just want to repeat "I am" affirmations until you start feeling shifting symptoms. Once you feel a shifting symptom you will want to start counting either in your head or out loud from 1-100 very slowly. You will want to take you time on this step.

If you want, you can also say your affirmations in between the numbers when your counting.

Once you are done counting to 100 you will want to say your affirmations that are specific to your desired reality. Examples of these is to say affirm things like: "I am shifting to Harry Potter",   "I have grey eyes".  You want to affirm things that are specific to your specific desired reality and your desired reality self.  Continue saying your affirmations until you feel disconnected from your current reality self.

Once you feel disconnected from your body, you will want to visualize your desired reality. You can visualize anything that is in your DR whether that be a specific event that you scripted or that you want to happen, what your DR looks like, the people in your DR, what you look like, where you live, etc.

You can modify any method to fit you best, you do not need to do the exact thing for each method. You can even mix methods, whatever works for you. 

Alice in Wonderland Method

First, you will want to put on a subliminal or sounds that remind you of being in a field or somewhere peaceful. You can find these on YouTube.  Then you will want to lay down in bed in any position that you feel comfortable in.

Next, start taking long, deep breathes. Once you feel you are ready, start affirming, you can do this by speaking out loud or just in your head.  It is recommended that you say affirmations like "I am in my DR" rather then, "I will be in my DR" because you are just affirming to yourself that you have not shifted yet. 

Once you are completely relaxed, imagine yourself in first person that you are laying under a tree. You can do whatever activity you prefer. For example, I prefer to read a book or draw. 

You will then start looking around and you come across a symbol that represents your desired reality.  This could be a person, a pet, an object, anything that symbolizes your desired reality. Imagine that symbol running away from you and then you start to get up and chase it. 

At this point you should be chasing your symbol. You want to take your time with this step, you do not want to rush it.  THIS IS OPTIONAL: you can imagine that every step that you take, you are getting farther and farther away from you CR (current reality). 

You will eventually catch up to your symbol and there going to be standing over a rabbit hole. They're going to jump down the hole and then you're going to stand and look down and decide if you're going to shift.  You can also replace the rabbit hole with a cliff that's going into water or a portal to your reality if you'd like. 

Once you feel ready, you're going to jump down and you're going to allow yourself to fall freely. You may get the sensation of falling, and that is perfectly okay!  As you are falling, think of memories from your current reality, they may be good or bad and allow yourself to let them go. 

It does not matter how long you take on this step, but once you're ready you're going to fall down into a small room. There is going to be a table with a key on it. You are going to use this key to unlock the door and the symbol you were chasing will be on the other side of it. They are going to ask you if you are ready to go and if you are they are going to lead you to you DR bedroom. You are going to lay down in that bed and fall asleep. And when you wake up you should be in your desired reality. 

The Universe Method

  1. Listen to subliminals throughout the day (detachment from CR subs specifically) 
  2. do the bare minimum (you don't have to prepare to shift even outside of this method, but if you want to you can. I like to do things like clean or organize my room but you don't have to). 
  3. about 3 hours before you usually go to sleep, sit on your bed and put on your DR playlist. (I have made playlists for a BUNCH of realities and am working on more so you can find them on this website as well!)
  4. While you are listening to your playlist, lean against the wall or lay on your bed with your eyes open, start imagining what you want your first day to be like. Go through a checklist and a plan.
  5. After imagining, with the playlist still on, I want you to think about the person you most want to talk to. This could be a guide or a DR person. Don't think about a person from your CR because you need to detach yourself from this place.
  6. Sit and have a conversation with that person as if they were in the room with you. Ask them questions, tell them you miss them. Anything. After you do that tell them that you will see them soon in close communication. Personally, I would try and avoid telling them about your CR because, remember, your trying to detach yourself from your CR.
  7. You should be about maybe a half an hour to an hour end. Until you hit the 1 1/2 hour mark, do things that immerse you and your DR. This could be watching the movie or TV show, jamming to music, imagining you are with your DR people. Anything to get you into the mindset of being there.
  8. When you hit the 1 1/2 hour mark, get ready for bed. This should take about 30 minutes. While you're getting ready for bed, tell yourself that this is your last day in this reality for a while and a affirm that you are okay with leaving and that you are unafraid.
  9. After you get ready for bed. This should be at the point where you are an hour before you usually go to bed. Lay down and play some affirmations about having no fear in about being comfortable. Don't move. Turn off the left side of your brain by distracting yourself. Have another conversation with your DR people, count, imagine. Whatever distracts you.
  10. When you don't feel your body anymore, a firm until you go to sleep then you WILL wake up in your DR

Example:

8:00-8:30 pm:

Imagine, checklist, plan, and conversation with DR person or people.

8:30 - 10:30 pm:

Do things that remind you of your DR.

10:30 - 11:00 pm:

Get ready for bed.

11:00pm - 12:00am:

Shift

A method if you struggle with visualizing:

Lay down on your back or stomach, a position that you sleep in but preferably one of those two positions. Be in pitch black and you can also be sitting down but you are going to be sitting or laying down in pitch black so you don't have to visualize what you look like, just be surrounded by black. Your going to be counting UP to 100 multiple times (as long as it takes for you), saying affirmations. There will be a door, you don't have to visualize it, just know that it is there. And keep in your brain where you want to go. YOU DON'T NEED TO VISUALIZE, just know where it is you want to go. When you are feeling symptoms and you feel that you  are ready, walk through the door and feel yourself falling. When you land after a while (it will happen), go to sleep and you should wake up in your DR.

The Intent Method

It is recommended that you mediate first, in order to clear your mind, but you do not have to. Make sure that you are tired to the point where you are about to fall asleep. 

  1.  get into a comfortable position
  2. start to visualize your DR and your DR self
  3. when you are about to fall asleep, say "I intend to wake up in my desired reality." (you can repeat or affirm that as you fall asleep if you have trouble falling asleep quickly,but that's your choice).
  4. fall asleep and you should shift!

This is said to be one of the easiest methods:

  1. set an alarm 2-3 hours before you need to wake up
  2. go to sleep (not to late but it really doesn't matter).
  3. when the alarm wakes you up, turn it off and don't get up or walk around because then the tiredness is going to go away
  4. go back to sleep but this time do a method of your choice. it doesn't even have to be a method just simply count to 100+, visualize, affirm, whatever works for you!

The Mold Method

Lay down on your bed in any comfortable position. Meditate, count, do anything that makes you relaxed. Once you are relaxed, imagine your DR self essentially floating and sleeping above you in the exact same way you are in your DR room. Then picture your bed slowly moving up or floating up towards your DR self until you are essentially molding yourself into that DR self until you are them. Once you feel connected enough just go to sleep and you should shift.

The Falling Method

  1. sit or lay down for 2-3 minutes to calm your mind and body.
  2. if you aren't already, lay down in a comfortable position doesn't matter what it is as long as it is comfortable to you.
  3. imagine running on a cliff. It can be running in slow-mo, it doesn't matter.
  4. imagine yourself falling or leaping off that cliff into water or a field of flowers
  5. while falling, use your five senses in that visualization and in that visualization whisper affirmations to yourself. You can also whisper the affirmations in your CR as well or you can just do them in your head, whatever works the best for you.
  6. Imagine someone from your DR reaching out a hand to pull you out of the water or flowers.
  7. After you feel your chest, the best way to describe it would be jerk, you should be in your DR

Tip: you can also listen to subliminals of like water of nature sounds depending on if your visualizing the field or water.

Pillow Method

  1. take a piece of paper and write your desire on it (manifesting) and place it under your pillow
  2. (You can also do this with your crystals and you can also put your script with the piece of paper as well)
  3. now just go to sleep, you can visualize or do whatever but you do not have to.

Estelle Method

  1. Get into a comfortable position, does it matter, just as long as you're comfortable.
  2. Daddy are breathing and focus your energy thoughts on to positive things. Anything at all. You Just need your vibrations high.
  3. Begin playing a song that you might hear in your Dr. Any song that makes you feel as though you are really in your DR. And begin imagining yourself dancing with someone from your DR as the song plays.
  4. If you struggle with visualization, try to feel how you would feel slow dancing with this person. Use your five senses. Where their hands are, that are sliding around your movements, your head laying on their neck, etc.
  5. When the song is over, the person you danced with will say "it's time to go home." They open a door, and you will see a very bright white light, go through it.
  6. Affirm that you are in your DR until you feel falling sensation. This feeling is required, when the white light fades to black, open your eyes, your home you have shifted.

(This is a non-sleep method but you can turn it one if you like).

Eye Method

  1. close your eyes and begin to gently rub your eyelids
  2. keep on doing step one until you start to see shapes, like blobs
  3. start repeating affirmations, this can be in your head, outloud, doesn't matter whatever works best for you.
  4. visualize those shapes turning or morphing into objects from your DR (examples: furniture, people, buildings, objects, etc.)
  5. open your eyes when you feel ready and you have shifted and you should be in your DR, or you can go to sleep and wake up in your DR.

Heartbeat Method

  1. find and listen to a heartbeat sound (I find all my'n on YouTube they have some good ones. I like the ones with breathing sounds also). Put your phone under your pillow (be careful as this is a fire hazard). 
  2. imagine that you are laying on someone from your desired realities chest
  3. say affirmations, rather that be in your head or out loud, doesn't matter again whatever works best for you.
  4. depending on how long the video you chose was or what you want it to be there's two ways to go from here. Either you can fall asleep with the sound on just continuing to visualize and affirm or you can go onto the following further steps, this is your choice.
  5. when the heartbeat sound is done imagine that said person from your Dr is in front of your bed.
  6. they will ask you if you are ready to shift and you will say yes
  7. take their hand and walk to a door
  8. open the door and walk through
  9. you will feel like you are falling or some other symptom, but you may not feel a symptom and that is also normal and fine, it doesn't mean that you're not shifting.
  10. fall asleep and wake up and you should be in your DR!
